Happy Birthday, Pete Maravich! (Born on June 22, 1947)
Pistol Pete is an NBA legend. He started out his career with the Atlanta Hawks but his probably best know for his time with the New Orleans/Utah Jazz (also was on the Celtics). Pistol is a a 5 time All Star, a 2 time member of the All NBA First Team, a 2 time member of the Second Team, and a member of the All Rookie First Team. This was all in a short 10 year career! Imagine what he could have done if he did not retire! In addition, Pete averaged an impressive 24.2 points per game. He is, quite simply, one of the greatest players in NBA history.
