It depends on what type of sealing jutsu is being used.

It depend which era of Konohagakure and who's in the village at the time. A lot of strong Leaf shinobi during the time of Pain's invasion were out of the village during the attack and the ANBU didn't care to get involved. Also, Pain is one of the few characters who isn't effected by genjutsu and that is because of his Rinnegan. Don't take the village lightly because a lot of the events that transpired were circumstantial.

You know you have a good point there Omega, it is about the period of time. Maybe if it was the first or fourth hokage's era then Akainu would be in trouble. But most of the characters that would be a serious threat to him during Naruto Shippuden were either dead or were apart of Akatsuki.

So you're saying Kakashi, Naruto, etc isn't a threat, you're joking right? But it's true if it was Madara's time for example they would be stronger, since Uchiha is a Konoha clan. And Senju was around then too.

No. I do not see Kakashi or Sage mode Naruto as much of a threat really, sorry. Kakashi is still cooler though. I see someone withstanding a city buster technique and still be ready to fight more of a threat, which Akainu was shown to experience.

Akainu hasn't taken a city buster to my knowledge. WB didn't use an attack that powerful.

It is also part of the reason he is considered that level in the outskirts. Also the energy needed for the island tilting is almost equivalent to that of a tsar bomb. But your right he hasn't used a legitamate city buster.

It could be the Konohagakure that Pain attacked. I think the era and conditions should be specified a little more on the first page.
