Allen from D gray man - feel poor for him. he doesn't know if he have to be in the bad side or good side. A cute and nice character with a lot of secrets.

Have to agree with Aldstar. I got decently attached to Inuyasha, and basically every main character from a Miyazaki movie. Mustang, Hawkeye, and Hughs from FMA I liked a lot of the characters in Darker than Black, even the bad guys had some great development. Like the one opera woman who her contract was eating cigarettes which is how her child died. That's intense for a character only in 2 episodes. |

I wish you had been more specific in starting this thread because having an emotional attachment to a character can mean many things. Still, these are the characters that got to me: 1)Lt. Cmdr Roy Fokker (SDF Macross) : Macross was the first series that really introduced me to anime (I also watched Starblazers, the US version of Space Battleship Yamato and while I liked it , I didn't feel empathy for the characters) and Roy was my fave character. I really liked his skills as a fighter pilot and he was an excellent CAG-Commander Air Group for the SDF1. I wish he wasn't KIA. When that happened, it caught me offguard because US cartoons at the time (IE GI Joe, Transformers) always made sure that the heroes always came unscathed. Then again, GI Joe was never as serious as real anime is. 2)Capt Henry Gloval (SDF Macross) : One cool thing about anime that has a military theme is that it presents the Commanding Officer as a real leader, he doesn;t just acts macho, spitting out cool lines and acts tough, In anime, the CO is really seen dealing with being a leader. And Capt. Gloval's patriarchial attitude anticipated that of Capt. Jean Luc Picard in ST TNG. 3)Vanessa Leeds (SDF MAcross) : Yeah most fans go crazy over Lynn Minmei or Lisa Hayes, but I always preferred Vanessa, Capt. Gloval's Radar/Sensor Officer on the Bridge,, She's very attractive, glasses or not, has a nice figure and nice legs and is very professional and competent. 4)Maggie Mui (ROD the TV): Yeah, Michelle Cheung may head the 3 Sisters Detective Agency, and Nancy Makuhari and Nenene Sumerigawa may be more attractive in a physical sense, but Maggie's my fave because she's so modest and unassuming. I also liked her devotion to Anita and Nenene. Nenene considers her the most honest of the 3 sisters and she's essentially her confidante. Maggie may be unassuming but when push comes to shove-well, you're on your own! I also like it that Maggie loves to read and is a very private person. 5)Margery Daw (Shakugan No Shana): She may not be the lead heroine, but I liked Miss Margery;s back story and that its vengeance that fyels her as a flame haze. Being drop dead gorgeous is a also a factor, natch! If they ever start a :Who Would Win an Anime Miss Universe? Thread, she'd be my #1 pick as the winner. 6)Reiji Fujita (Gallery Fake): Think Indiana Jones crossed with Robert Langdon of The Da Vinci Code and odds are Reiji comes to mind. I like it that's he's always cool and controlled . If this was Star Trek, he'd be Mr. Spock in some ways as he's always thinking, using his wits and shrewdness to confound and outthink an opponent. 7)Sara Halifa (Gallery Fake) :Sara'a a nice departure from the traditional heroine. While very attractive, she;s at heart modest. And while she has a jealous side, its presented in a fun way, I like the repartee she shares with Reiji, If the was Star Trek, she'd be Yeoman Janice Rand, Capt. Kirk's aide as Sara;s always loyal to Mr. Fujita |

there could be other things to it like for me My childhood was lonely and depressing similar to that of naruto that is Why I love naruto as a character cause he reminds me of myself. I posted 3 things as just starters to show what I meant. I mean I have alot of things that made me cry and I was attached with but I only chose the ones that stood above the others.
