i've been reading this since the beginning aswell, and the whole ghost thing ended way too suddenly for me to think that its over, but it has been doing poorly in the rankings so maybe the author just abandoned it to try a more traditional approach

Yeah, overall a dissatisfying manga. Premise was alright but then it just took a turn down the generic harem route when ratings were low, disappointing to say the least.
