| He did alright. Jiraiya was drugged, and Kabuto delayed his beating with the blood thing with Tsunade. Tsunade coming after you when you have "no" arms is never a good situation.

Well comparatively Jiraya was almost killed by the four tails while orochimaru was handling things pretty fine. That fight really showed how difficult a bastard he is to kill. Regardless not like that would have been jiraya going all out. I'd say jiraya could give him a really hard time, but sage mode has a time limit, on top of taking a while to prepare, I'd say a bastard as hard to kill as orochimaru could stall him out and then kill him. I'm assuming impure world resurrection is forbidden in the fight, as it would make things completely unfair, even though it is orochimaru's jutsu. |

If ma and pa toad are gathering chakra continuously for him his time limit is much greater than Naruto's. I still think Oro's natural "resistance" to death in general makes him more than match for most opponents. Jiraiya was only trying to suppress the kyuubi and got wounded. Oro's battle looked like he was trying to kill him. Its always harder to capture than to kill. Still he did well with no arms vs. the four tailed kyuubi. Without the body shedding ability he wouldve been disintegrated but abilities like that allow you to test theories in battle so I expect him to take chances others cant.

Oro wouldve struggled mightly if he was only trying to hold back the kyuubi with no arms. Unlike most everyone else, Oro has engineered his body to be able to do many notable things without his arms. Even without seeing whatever jutsu he could possibly do if he had use of his arms I'd give the edge to Oro. I still dont think the effort used against the kyuubi is an indication of anything since the objectives were different imo. It did show that he's still a very viable combatant sans arms though.

This is the fight I would like to see more than any other fight. If the series ended right now and the author asked us which one fight we'd like to see, I'd vote on this one. As for the result, I think at the moment, from what we know right now, Jiraiya, but I think if we actually ended up seeing a fight of these two in their primes, I believe they would be equal. The good thing about Jiraiya is, his chakra pool is endless. Ma and Pa can just keep on sitting there, just keep on gathering natural energy, and as long as that is the case, his chakra will never end. So he can bombard people with endless enormous Rasengan attacks, and combined with his crazy speed which Nagato could not even react to, it's a very lethal combination. I believe Jiraiya was very unlucky to meet an opponent that completely nullified the two fighting styles he was best at. He has ridiculously powerful and very diverse Ninjutsu with chakra that NEVER runs out to back it up, but he met an opponent that can absorb them all. And he has ridiculous amounts of physical strength (he could blind an enemy by kicking their head in an instant) and movement speed (Nagato could not even react to it), yet he meets an opponent that has a 360 degree vision, once again nullifying his Taijutsu. And after all of that, he, the man with little talent in Genjutsu, busts out one of the strongest Genjutsu in the series. Ah he's so awesome. For now, definitely Jiraiya's win, but if Orochimaru busts out some new things, they'd be equal. |
