I want the corn stone episode!!!!!
In the first episode the actor doesn't have the spirit of Ren and the Moko doesn't have spirit and appearance of Moookooo but it gets better. And sometimes when the lead guy smiles you can get a bit of essence of Ren.

And the essence of Yashiro!!

Episode 5: I'm not even finished with it and I had to comment on how brilliant the acting is. The girl playing Gong Xi has me completely convinced that no other actor could have played her part. The whole Tea Ceremony and even after was simply put, Brilliant. I am completely sold. She is fantastic.

And I'm starting to feel what everyone's calling the essence of Ren coming from our dear Si Won. So far in this episode I have completely forgotten about the voices being dubbed and have sincerely been able to enjoy the acting.

It also helps that they haven't steered away from the Manga. Nor have they thrown in too many embellishments in acting or editing. (I will add that there is a point where I hope they stray from the Manga but not yet)

I am loving that their taking it seriously and I'm loving their choices of actors. The manager and the director have caught my fascination as well.

OMG Episode 5 and it keeps getting better and better. LOL Funny. I especially like Lian/Ren’s manager played by King Chin. The tea ceremony scene between Ivy Chen and Siwon, just fantastic. Loved it when Lian/Ren bows to Gong Xi/Kyoko at the end of the tea ceremony scene. The previews for episode 6 show the acting school scene with the presidents daughter, Lian finding out that Gong Xi was the childhood friend he had given the blue stone to and Gong Xi's first acting job as the chicken. Wow - I love Skip Beat!

Surprisingly, I am finding this drama acceptable entertainment, despite the dubbing. Gotta wince through a couple of episodes and mourn the lost of the beautiful baritone voice of my Siwon because of the dubbing but after that, the good acting and interesting manga-like storyline bowled me over. Hope it will continue down this path of being interesting and entertaining.

oh, i just noticed this. Skip Beat already have a live action... i love the anime of this. is the story same as the anime?

It follows quite closely the anime... though I hope they would elaborate the ending a little so that it does not end like the anime (which kinds of have a hanging ending).

I am seriously getting into this drama.... not too bad, good acting from Siwon, Donghae and Ivy and it has an acceptable storyline.

I'm not sure where this drama will end, but I thought I saw in the ending credits Siwon/Lian in the car scene where he freezes. If so this goes past the anime. You will find this scene in the manga chapters 165/166.

Just finished watching episode 7. The whole interaction between Lian and the chicken was funny and sincere. And I watched it a number of times. This unguarded time with Lian gives Gong Xi an insight to Lian he may not have given readily or she may not have been receptive to under normal circumstances. The nightmare scene where Lian reminds Gong Xi that she gave him the bird is hysterical so is the next day scene where Gong Xi tries to avoid Lian and he runs her down in front of the Ladies’ room where he asks her why she did not use her middle finger as she really does know how to point. I keep smiling and laughing – these are just some of the scenes that make Skip Beat! the LOL, feel good, ya gotta love romantic comedy.
