I am leaving this for when my beloved twin returns to DC and she sees this thread. Libby, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this drama for you... you hear??!!!~~~~ *echoes*

Here we go with the details:

Synopsis:

Lin Xiao Jie is a normal everyday office girl with ambitions to do better in life and hopefully, one day, become a successful woman. During a business trip to London, she accidentally meets Tang Jun who helped her after a snatch thief incident. They hit it off immediately as friends. She returned to Taipei and met Gao Zhi Qi, the second son of a mall tycoon. They did not click at first as Zhi Qi behaved quite rudely against Xiao Jie but through incidences and accidents, they were cast into an embarassing situation where Zhi Qi has no choice but to ask Xiao Jie to be his girlfriend. Zhi Qi has his own demons. He is hopelessly attracted to and in love with a supermodel whom he had secretly dated. However, all his attempts to get her to publicly recognise their relationship went to naught. Frustrated, he decided to teach his supermodel ex-gf a lesson by publicly being with Xiao Jie. In fact, when he proposed to Xiao Jie, he did it to anger his ex-gf. However, in the process, he realised that he was slowly falling for the innocent and happy-go-lucky yet intelligent Xiao Jie. When Xiao Jie found out about Zhi Qi's betrayal, she left him but Zhi Qi, having realised that he has indeed fallen for Xiao Jie, would now pursue her to the ends of the world!

On another side of the story, Tang Jun meet Xiao Jie online when he advertised his apartment in London for rent. Xiao Jie originally wanted to go to London to further her study but changed her mind because of her relationship with Zhi Qi. Tang Jun, having fallen for Xiao Jie in their first meeting in London, arrived in Taipei under the guise of a special assistant to a CEO of a conglomerate of malls in Shanghai when in actual fact, he is the sole heir to the conglomerate. Slowly but surely, he became a close friend and confidante to Xiao Jie and he watched in pain and angst as her relationship with Zhi Qi was destroyed because of Zhi Ji's selfishness and betrayal. He was always there for Xiao Jie and when she finally left Taipei for London, he thought he would finally get the opportunity to express his love for her in London. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding led to him deciding to leave Xiao Jie. Returning to Shanghai, a woman who has always been his childhood friend (Zheng Chu Chu) awaits him for she has always loved him and would not anything to get his love.

Xiao Jie's love for Tang Jun develops slowly from their close relationship while Chu Chu's love for him is fierce and all consuming. Who will win in this competition for one man's love? What will happen to the repentant ex-fiance Zhi Qi's relationship with Xiao Jie or will Xiao Jie finally realises that the man who truly loved her and had always been there for her was none other than her best friend?


They air like 3 episodes per day and 15 episodes in one week for this drama. There are 30+ episodes. I had watched 15 episodes. Totally hooked! Addicted! Even from episode 1, you are guaranteed to be hooked! Now, the wait is killing me.....!!!

Besides, the men are oh-so-yummy in this drama!

I just hope this drama will have a happy ending coz I do not like the meaning of its chinese title - which literally translates to "The sacrifices of being a sucessful woman".... I hope that does not mean she will not end up with any of the guys!

Just finished watching this drama. This must be the best T&CDrama of 2012!! Highly recommended! You hear me, twin...???? HIGHLY recommended!!!

Yes, matty. She does that once in a while. The effect of the blue moon, I was told. She has peculiar habits and she thinks I'm the crazy one!!

The last I heard from her, she's planning an overseas trip and salivating over a poster boy. She had hoped to get a piggyback ride by some hot Asian dude, but I think she probably ended up getting kidnapped by some dodgy guy. Don't worry, once he realised that she's an odd ball, she will be released soon. In the meantime, it falls on me to keep tab of the nice dramas for when she returns...... and she still owes me popcorn!!!
