This will never be as good as it was the first 3 seasons but I still watch it like a bad drug, but considering it has been going 7 years with 2 guys being the main characters and being in almost every single episode without really any breaks I think they are doing pretty well.

Going "strong" is debatable.
I've been struggling to watch it these past 3 seasons.

Well based on rank, ratings and viewers they are still going strong, as for the plot that is opinion. Some parts do feel forced and/or rushed, the whole Eve thing felt completely rushed to me.

Good ratings? It has the lowest of the lot.
Plot wise and direction is way cheesier, forced and herp derpy.
The only good thing was Sam only being a ***** for one episode, I don't think I could deal with another season of Sam going AWOL.

They use to spend their breaks together too you would think after being around each other 9 months out of the year they would want to get away from each other lol.

They have Christmas break but that don't mean they are not still filming and they also go back to filming a month or so before it starts airing, and when not doing that, they travel everywhere doing conventions. I imagine any breaks they get are well deserved spending sometimes 17+ hours in freazing weather half the time filming, and often have to film at night.

I'm not on about how much time they spend together though that is lovely too.
They have mid season breaks now too, which last for a good few months.

I don't know seems Vampire Diaries is the one taking the long ass break this time, Supernatural aired last week. I have never known the season to break for months except between seasons and that is only May until Sept. They go back to filming before that though.

They are adorable to see together they even finish each other sentences and very protective of each other when fans get rude very cute. Oh Jared (Sam) and his wife are having a baby.

It started last year, they took a break from Feb - March (thought it was longer...), but apparently that was because of the digital conversion... Maybe it was just a one off.

Fans get rude? That sucks. Congrats to them both.

I feel bad for calling Sam a ***** now, but please do remember I don't think it's his fault, just the writing.
