Based on the “Sookie Stackhouse” book series (also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlaine Harris, created and produced by Alan Ball, True Blood is a vampire drama both scary and sexy which takes you in an intriguing world wherein vampires and humans coexist. On the strength of a Japanese scientist who invented the synthetic blood, vampires developed from legendary monsters into fellow citizens. Although human creatures have been apparently taken out of the main course, a lot of people still fear the creatures that burst out of the grave. While government officials and religious leaders chose their sides, in Bon Temps, a small northern Louisiana town, things are in balance.

p.s: On season one the first 4 episodes are a bit slow so don't let it turn you off, as the shows gets better and better from episode 5 onwards!

A friend of mine is vividly passionate fan of the series and forces me to watch a couple of episodes every now and then when I visit.
The story is slow and tedious and the actors'd put shame on a B-film.

Well, at the beginning I wasn't too fond it but when the season one was almost finished it started to grow on me! At the moment its on top of my list after weeds of course!
