Johnny Lee Miller isn't bad, but this show is going to be nothing but terrible. I generally don't mind gender-switch roles, but Holmes and Watson's chemistry has always played off on their bromance appeal. Their friendship this time starts off unbalanced because Watson has been hired to babysit Holmes (fresh from rehab) by his father.

This seems more like a version of "Bones". The preview isn't awful, they're obviously going for Holmes more anti-social tendancies of off-putting wierdness, arrogance and a side of drug addiction.

Aidan Quinn is in it, so I'll probably watch an episode, but I expect it to get an early cancellation. It'll be on CBS, so they're probably matching it against The Mentalist (or other crime show)

I'd watch it just to watch it, but I don't expect it to match up to the British counterpart at all.

after searching in 3 pages, i have finally found a BBC Sherlock thread! yay!!!!
Let me start by saying that I adore this series and it's killing me that it is taking so long for the next season to arrive!!! man! I love everything in this series!
watson! moriarty! sherlock! it's no wonder that they've won lots of BAFTA awards!
