I think the huge pre-orders and insane hype would make it huge, not the one customer saying she'd quit WoW for it.

You see I'm not narrow minded, if I see one person doing something, I don't think that they are automatically the only one doing it. By her reaction, I can infer that she sure isn't the only one doing that. I've even read online of other people deciding to quit WoW for SWTOR. By me meeting her, just adds to the proof that there will surly be a large community at launch.

However by costumers like her isn't the only thing telling me that their will be a large community at launch. They're other evidence that points to the large community at launch but I don't want to get into it. "Pre-Orders" is another factor toward the evidence.

On another note, my friend who got into the Beta, got to Level 42. The Max level for SWTOR is level 50. He got so close but yet so far till his Beta opportunity ended. The only negative thing he said about the game was that you can't name your ship, you can't get another ship but the one you start out with, and there isn't free-roam with your ship. However on a positive side, he said everything else is just sick! Tho the space combat feels like Star Fox 64, it is still Epic!

Its a star wars MMO made by bioware. You don't have to infer much to know there will be a pretty big community at launch.

Its an entirely subjective opinion, really. I'm sure everything seems epic off the bat, but its mostly more of the same, its just set in a familiar universe that people can easily get into. This game doesn't really bring anything new to the MMO space and really only has it's name and the reputation of the people who make it. Everything else is something you can find in other MMOs and often times probably done better except for maybe the story.

I hope I get into the beta; pre-ordered SWTOR a few days ago. Which is weird for me, since I haven't bought a game since '08 when the 360 first came out. I really wasn't even into Star Wars, but the 'Hope' trailer pulled me in.

Hehe, whoa, "08" that is a long time ago since you bought a game. Do you mean PC game or 360 game? or video games in general?

From what I hear they will be sending out random weekend only Beta access to those who have signed up to the Beta and have Pre-Ordered the game.

If you haven't signed up to be a tester you must go here:

1. Log on to your SWTOR account.
2. Click on "My Account"
3. Scroll down to where is says,

Would you like to be considered for participation in Star Wars: The Old Republic pre-release game testing?

(Under Contact info)
4. Then go from there. They will scan your computer hardware to check out your specs.

From what it seems it goes by a first come, first server policy. Those who have joined the site and pre-ordered the game earliest, get access first. Because my friend joined the site in '08 and pre-ordered the game the day of pre-order release, he got into the beta already.

I'd rather look at the facts: High pre-orders, star wars skinned mmo, bioware.

TOR is KOTOR with your pals and a subscription, GG Bioware.

Well if you buy and get one month free subscription, you can still play it like a KOTOR game - albeit with limited time. But for that reason it's unfortunate you have to have an internet connection to play.

Well yeah, but it shouldn't be that way. It just shows the state of the gaming industry when a game that should be F2P is a forced subscription.

Will the patches justify the subscription? Probably not, but even then if it was on a console as a single player game: those patches would be DLC.

That girl is the building blocks to your facts. If people like her didn't have that attitude then none of your facts would exist. If you are admitting to your narrow minded ways then please stop posting cuz then there is no point in even reading your posts.

We don't know that yet. What about those who love playing through the same story over and over again? Then you got the unlocks that go with each story. There is so much added to the Core end of the product.
