im pretty sure it will start off good; however i really don't see it lasting long term as far as multiple expansions and story extensions(you can only due so much with a story driven mmo without making it suffer due to repeated mission types and the planetary limits)

What is your point? By the time that happens, the same can be said for all MMOs. Even still, the story will be new to new players still coming in. Your making it sound like all there is to do with this game is Story. What about everything else?

You speak of "planetary limits." There are so many small map MMOs that are still going to this day.

How long did it take for the 1st expansion to come out for SW: Galaxies?

it took a year on average per expansion to come out, it was fairly dead after 2007(only a few dozen diehards); that is the main selling point they have pushed since the beginning was that it is a multiple class based story mmo; yet those arent supposed to be based in the massive fandom based universe of star wars

Alright so it might be a year in a half for the date of release, until we see a Swtor expansion.

I know, come December, Galaxies is shutting down for good.

so what will happen to all of the items(event trophies and other things) i had in Galaxies; if all of those 8 years of my life of working on that account i had cant be obtained/bought for my personal comp to store i will be a bit pissed

I know right. I had the Total Experience and loved my BARK Speeder. Now they will be shutting it down and all that will be gone. Didn't you get the e-mail?

i did and i sent them a request to be able to buy my accounts data off of their servers and have it sent to me
