I really want to try the recent FF games but I never got the chance to go out and buy a console. Do any of you guys have any working emulators that works for windows7?

Emulators usually require the computer to be more powerful than the system the emulating. You might have to wait for a few more years before that's possible.

Do you mean significantly more powerful? Most modern day gaming pcs can already easily outpower any PS3 / 360.

Significantly. Actually look at it like this. The technology in the PS3 right now is equivalent to the military's supercomputer in the 1990's. But I digress, the modern day gaming PC could emulate a PS3 or 360, but the problem is the background processes the computer already has. That's what causes it not to work right now.

Buying the console and games are obviously better, but if you cant i recommend trying PCSX2 version 0.9.8 its the latest and the best. Although you'll still get some lag on some part of the games. ffx works great beside from a few bits that recieve lag no matter what :/

My motivation is not strong enough to spend $250 just to play 2 games xD.... I play everything on PC just because it looks plain better. FF is one of those few games that never comes to pc (Except the mmo).... Idk what square enix is doing by not making a pc port

There isn't going to be any 360 or PS3 emulators for a long while, if ever. xD PS2 emulators barely work, and not many games work with it. D:
