Has anyone here at Anime Crazy had the chance to vacation or live in Japan? If so what's it like? Is it as crazy in downtown Tokyo as it looks on tv? Are the people okay with us Americans?? Please tell me because it's a personal dream of mine to visit Japan, and see some of the old temples and country side. And of-course Downtown Tokyo!!!

I go there every so often to see my grandfather, it's pretty crowded and busy. some places worse than others. Other than that though it's actually quite beautiful. At least I think it is.

Japan is a country it really depends on what province or city you are in to tell you what it's like. Haven't been there but I will some day probably see if I can get japanese citizenship so I don't have to live in the U.S anymore if possible.

They don't appear to hate the U.S but that's just because of American propaganda that they forced the government to impose on the Japanese people.

A friend of mine said they either love ya and will help you with anything, or they won't even give you the time of day. That was in Tokyo. I guess it's like that in any city really. I'm just crazy about old Japanees history and The Samurii era! I really love the Edo period. Someday when I can save up the $$$ I'm gonna visit, any suggestions on where to, and not to go?

Thats my plan to go to japan, I'v always injoyed watching old movies like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan films and animes but what I want is to have a real sword make by a real master and learn sword fighting, plus to see all the history and vist all the sites thats my dream. PLUS I hear theirs some great Beer and Sake to drink, man I can't wait to go and have some fun.
I wonder if you buy anime in japan can you get it in sub or not?

Well think about it when you buy DVD's you can change the language settings and the subtitle settings same for anime movies/DVD volumes. So yeah I bet you could.
