I think he knew Ichigo had the posibility to have a inner hollow using this method. Considering he wasn't going to Soul society, he was going to turn into a hollow, but he also had the ability to obtain his shinigami powers.

my oppinion:

Ichigo hollow side was either a rank 1+ arccaner or vastro lorde. That is the only way to explain him having that much flipping power when his hollow side took over when he had no idea how to control it and did you notice it only appeared when he faught byuakyu which means it'll only fight battles that are too hard for ichigo while at the same time dising ichigo for being so weak.

Not possible even just as a theory. Maybe arrancar in theory, but without Ichigo hes powerless. His Bloodlust and lack of fear gives him the edge in tough battles.

Im guessing he hid, and grew as Ichigo grew. Once he saw his chance to take over he took it.

this is what im hopinfor ichigo beats uliquirra then somehow makes it to soul society and gets whooped even with the mask then he loses all control and becomes the monster hollow and beats aizen

What if like Ichigos hollow completely took over. Went to HM, and Aizen turned him into a complete arrancar. I mean he will already have shinigami powers, I don't know if it will have any effect, but if it did. Total badassness would occur...
