Arrancars don't have to eat other hollows.

because they used to be hollow they can't be vasto either they canonly say that they used to be a vasto and then evolved into arrancar can't be both

They don't stop being vasto lorde when they become arrancars.
Arrancar just means "I've gotten shinigami powers, yeah."

Arrancar were first introduced as Hollows which gained Shinigami Powers

Vizard were first introduced as Shinigami who gained Hollow Powers

Although honestly I haven't seen much in the way of Shinigami powers from any of the Arrancar... They seem to have gotten the short end of the hybrid stick

That might be the way it's portrayed, but I see no difference in turning hollow shinigami and the other way around. It all depends on the individual.

Yea... but the main thing the Arrancar get out of being Arrancar is sealing some of their power into a sword... and then their resurrecion takes it out of the sword and gives it back to them... and they get stronger for it somehow
