|  Anime Reccomendations
i'm kinda new to this blog and i'm not sure if my question goes into the right catergory. i wanted to know if u guys had any suggestions on an action/romance/comedy anime. i like to see something that involve super powers with multiple characters each with their own unique powers. so far i have watched: naruto bleach fate/stay night get backers full metal alchemist death note shakugan no shana tsubasa chronicles mai hime chrno crusade samurai 7 i kinda prefer something that has decent drawings and is fairly recent. i heard one piece is really good, but its kinda hard for me to watch it cause the drawings is kinda distracting, i dunno thats my opinion. i am still watching bleach and naruto. im also reading their mangas, but in order to pass some time, i dunno what else to watch. so if u guys have any suggestions please tell me. thanks. |

d.gray-man code geass cant go wrong with cowboy bebop, kenshin, yu yu hakusho but they are from the 90s so if your very picky about how things look you may want to pass

if you can sit and watch naruto and bleach............. im sure you will enjoy one piece. the drawing might be a little "Lame" for the beginning of the anime because it was done long time ago. but it will get better, along with the musics too. six years ago i was JUST like what you are thinking, "oh man i dont want to watch one piece dude, the pictures are so ugly, that main charater looks like a retard." one day i ran out of anime to watch so i bought the DVD for the season 1, went through it. now i am in love with one piece, it is probably the best anime i have seen, ( I have seen naruto also, i am orgianally from hongkong so i grew up with anime, therefore if a piece of work is good, i can realize it instantly) The author knows how to set up the story, make you feel connected with the charaters, knows when to throw jokes and when to be serious. sometimes the story gets so emotional it makes you cry, sometimes you just cant stop laughing. it is an anime that can make you angry, happy, sad, joy all at once. unlike most anime which they only have certain apsect of feeling. i also have an american friend that i met here, he loves anime, the 1st time i meet him at his house, every wall is covered with anime poster. I asked him if he ever seen one piece, he said no, he said he doesnt like one piece, because the pictures look ugly and chirdish. somehow a year later, perhaps my word convinced him one year ago or maybe he just got bored. he started watching one piece, now he is in love with it. He went through all epis in 3 months. his computers are full of one piece's wall paper, picture, musics. anyways, enough say, give one piece a shot. If it isnt good i wouldnt have typed a 3000 word essay to support it |

Im sorry I would have to disagree with the one peice drawings!! I honestly think its too childish!!! Its sooo weird and....welll WEIRD!!! LOL!!! I mean I guess the story line is ok but the animation is very odd!!!

As i said, it might look childish at one point, however thats only you "First" impression. their appearances also changes through out the series, especially when plots start to get serious, and you will love the art and animation once you start watching, wont take you long i can promise. i have not met one person who didnt like the one piece art work after they watch the anime. and to be honest, i am fine art majoy in college and i think the art work and animations are better than a lot of other anime with similar subjects. One piece's works are very unique and creative, unlike some anime that all the charaters look alike/ the same : [EX: same face, same eye, same body, same hair. Thr only differences are colors and height and clothings; females and males have same body stuctures. you know exactly what i mean, those who watch anime a lot, and especially for me since i am an art major, i notice them without even having to pay attention] One piece is not, every charater is unique, differnt, has their own style [fight/dressing/speaking/ets] , and way of expressing themself as an individal and not just /copy /paste /fill color. yet all individal combines and create hamony. that is something that i cannot find within other charaters in other similar type of animes PS: judging by appearance isnt always a safe bet, also, you wont know what something taste like until you taste it.
