Yep, Bleach is like that. Something that has happened in a few hours in the Bleach world can take a few months in reality.

Its the same like 1-2 months ago when the Kenpachi vs Noitra fight ended in the anime, and Aizen and the others appeared in Karakura town, and Ichigo took off to go save Inoue and fight Ulquiorra, and the posts of the episode said "omg next episode we are gonna see Ichigo vs Ulquiorra". But they can't imagine that they will have to wait months to see this fight in the anime lol.
