Most adult-teens do watch subbed. Its the kids that watch dubbed.
And still kids DO watch anime. Its like i said, if it is for kids its "cartoon", but teenagers even if they watch same thing as kids, they call it "anime", or "adult comocs" as Heavy Metal movie was called.

Each country has its own TV laws, but as i said with the mentality. If you watch animeted movie/serial on TV you call it anime as you are embaressed (or have other simmillar reason) to call it a cartoon.

You cant say that Mickey mouse is not Anime. I have seen Anime that has simmillar or even MORE "cartoonish" theme and drawing style.

what age do you speak of when you say kids? 6-10?

teen is 11-19 age. Thats a bit too wide range, especially considering 11 as a child and 19 as an adult.
baby 0-2
paddler (dont remember the word lol) 2-6
child 6-11
kid 12-14
snot 14-16 (most accurate to majority of populaiton at this age lol) lad/lass in more "civilizaed" specimens
teen 16-unlimited
adult above 16 that acts like adult not "wanna be adult"
and ofcourse overpowered grandpa - above 60 (grandpas can act like teenagers, or even kids - example: Shin-chans grandpa)

Teen is stillfrom 11-19, thats why it was named.
But you cant put 14 year old guy/girl and 18 year old guy/girl in the same pot if it goes for being grown up. Especially considering how slow males grow up.
And thats what rating is all about, goverment decides that 14 year old is not grown up, too stupid and too easilly influenced by media to see certain themes, so they eigther put higher age rating, or provide them with censored versions.

lol yeah it pissed me off when I was in a summercamp (lol)
and they had a rule: ppl. under 14 only walk with teachers lol
I was 13 and 7 month and I was considered a "too-young-to-walk-alone-kid"
it soo pissed me off
