Death Note Ending **MAJOR SPOLIER*

Anyone read the last chapters, it felt as light was stupider, wasnt himself, guess the author rushed things. IMO it could of ended alot better, i was supporting kira lol, if the author was true Kira would have won, instead of the 11 yr old kid Near.

I don't think the author rushed things at all, its just that Light (Kira) let the power of the Death Note take him over and in the end that was his downfall. Like for example when Mikami (X-Kira) entered the warehouse and instantly looked at Light (Kira) while counting down the seconds until everybody was going to die, Light let that go to his head and a second before 40 he boastfully says "I win Near." when he should've waited until the people were being afflicted by the heart attacks and then declared victory like he did with everybody else (Raye Penbar, Noami Misora, L, etc.). He made a big mistake which everybody heard and since nobody died it was pretty much a confession. I think the author did a fantastic job with this series and probably couldn't have done it any better.

I guess now would be the right time to say that I too was rooting for Light (Kira) Nick, so your not the only one who is pissed about him losing.

Well technically he won, because no will know that Kira is dead, and that Kira achieved a very low crime society.

Hehe yea that was misa alright she should die soon when she hits like 25 lol. Also i do felt that the last chapter or episode made light go retarded like they wanted to end it fast. Also i felt the pushed the idea that evil always dies, which seems lame :|

i dont think u understood what the poster was saying.
i think he meant that light was so calm even when he killed L, who was smarter than N. but then why couldnt light control of himself when he was facing N.

i dont like the ending, because light lost cuz he had to. i think some people
sued the comic artist for poisoning kids' mind

oh and some schooler did go insane, thinking that they have Death Note.

I think that it would politically incorrect for Light to have won, which is a shame. This teaching that good always wins is going to leave an ignorant impression on some kids...

Yeee I thought it was a very well thought out and planned ending, Personaly I was not hoping for Kira to win... nor Near... But I wanted L to win I like Near and his childish personality but L(not Light) was so upfront and clever.... and Mello was just... ...
