Haha, im just giving you a hard time, sorry! Yea, I love his fighting style its fun to watch in the anime. Especially with the arrancar, that was amazing.We need more Ikkaku action..

I think you're neglecting the fact that Renji's bankai were mostly broken by the attacks of captain levels, Ikkaku's however just likes to fall to pieces as he hits stuff, hardly practical in a fight. Plus as stated above, Renji's has a limited capability to repair itself and detach to reduce damage.

Plus you have to think logically on the method of attack, usually in shikai range isn't an issue, both have extending weapons of near enough the same range. HOWEVER when it comes to bankai, Renji clearly has the greater range, as well as a weapon that can be used to cut, stab and bash as a blunt type.

Not to mention being that Ikkaku keeps his bankai a secret, and we've only ever seen him training with shikai it's reasonable to assume that when it comes to bankai form Renji has one up on experience.

Plus again the mobility issue, Renji's bankai tends to flow with him quite nicely, allowing him free movement and one free hand, while Ikkaku's is basically three hunks of rather heavy metal which can't do much for your ability to move quickly.

Plus Renji's power capability is at full potential right from the start while Ikkaku has to fiddle around for a period of time just to make sure his bankai has had a coffee and read the newspaper.

Now I'm not an expert on this but if you ask me, range + repairing blade + all types of melee covered + experience + straight off power + mobility > brute strength + achey breaky blade + tired bankai + heavy.

That's just how I see it, I'm not necessarily right.

Ikkaku far outweighs Renji in experience...
Another thing he has going for him, is his fighting style isnt cosistant.. None knows what to expect. Ikkaku could easily move threw Renjis extended bankai, as anyone has, and slice him in his dead zone.
