see, i was going to suggest that before, because i was thinking "do we have any reason to think that the vizard even have an inner hollow? maybe ichigo is the only one."

but they do, because they had to battle them, we know that.


if a hollow mask is not needed, then neither is a zanpakuto? right?

Yea I just don't understand it..

If the hogyoku can just bypass the materialization of the hollow, what does that mean for the vizard?

Do they have another source to tap into. Or is it just a manafestation of that side they would tap into?

One resulting in side effects such as the summoning of a mask and inner battle. The other completely bypassing all of that showing no side effects other than an increase in power.
Or does it actually re-create the whole scenrio again, and does it all for you?

i think that the hogekyou "breaks the barrier" by materializing an inner hollow in a shinigami, in the form of a mask, and an inner shinigami in a hollow, in the form of a zanpakuto.

Yea that makes sense.. But if your simply just tapping into your own power why would any physical transformation or altering be noticable? Wouldn't you just be tapping into a side of your power un-accesable until now?

Wait, i thought that the hogyoku was used by aizen to turn the new adju into arrancar(supposedly vasto lorde) while the old ones that were kicked out of the espada(like that "nino" guy) evolved on their own but were weaker than those that were transformed with the hougyoku? also ichigo did not have the hougyoku used on him but was able to become vizard. so its possible all the hougyoku does is make the transformation quicker/easier?
