They've been around for a while, I don't understand why they chose to wait until Naruto, and Gaara, and possibly other young jinchuuriki got to an age where they put up a fight.

If Akatsuki would have attacked when they were younger, they would have been much easier to capture.

I guess this isn't important or anything lol, just something that I thought was stupid.

they have to seal the bijuus in a certain order, otherwise it wouldn't work, and remember they were gonna capture naruto but they couldnt since jiraiya was around

Yeah itachi even stated if they went after Naruto while Jiraiya was there, Jiraiya would've beat them both.
