but the thing that bothers me is that even though the earl is the strongest villain, why doesnt he take any action on his own, i mean like why doest he fight?

thats an awesome question, but I think mainly because he doesn't want to waste his time unless it has to do with the heart

I think that the earl think that he doesnt deserve to deal with small fry...
... when time will come and the noah will fails (hope it happen at one point) the earl will considers that he have found a opponant worthy of him to fight with..

... or the earl is just a lazy gramps that doesnt like to take the chance on being hurt for no valuable reasons =P
