It seems that jimbei is a bit bothered by the fact that luffy kick arlong ass...
Maybe he's not very happy that luffy kick a merman ass..lol
but he try to keep it aside for now and concentrate on saving ace first

I wonder if Jimbei might've thought Luffy did it because Luffy's anti-fishman. Jimbei must've felt that whole suppression thing not a few times.

well Jimbei and arlong both had same rank at one point, they may have been close

we don't know if Arlong was always supa evil

I wrote 'thought', which, if my English teachers were not entirely wrong, is the past tense of the word 'think'. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but that could imply that the idea might not still prevail.

Point is that even if he no longer thinks Luffy hates fishmen, the impression might prevail.

Then again it didn't seem like Jimbei had anything against Luffy as such, it felt more as though he felt it was his duty to avenge Arlong.

Since it seems that fishmen seem like a race that are close, having one of your "brothers" defeated by a human may make you angry. I would be angry if that happened.

hmm well since fishman are treated badly by the world its no suprise that arlong did what he did, so i can see y jimbei would be angry about it

I dont think Jinbei considers Arlong being evil they where mates for a long time and Arlong must have build that hatred for humans with all the discrimination in the Grand Line so he just set off to the East Blue and started to treat humans like shit.
So Jinbei's must have had a good relationship with Arlong but what bothers me most since he learned of his defeat shouldnt he know what Arlong was doing in the east blue? ..
