Maybe the straw hats are going to be involved in the battle and one of them opened the gate

Its possible considering someone managed to be pregnant for 20 months :s

how does being pregnant for 20 months have anything to do with the gates opening. i guess since dragons, luffy's dad, whitebeard is 24 yrs old then.

Does finding one piece make you the pirate king because if not, how the hell can anyone stand up to whitebeard! Also, what happened to all that stuff on whitebeard that we saw when he met shanks? He's miraculously better aye? haha

So by that definition it should be Whitebeard? The guy comes from nowhere on his own terms. What more does the man have to do to become the King? If he takes back Ace then surely they should crown him king?

Was Roger a self-proclaimed pirate king of is it because he was the most feared that after his death the people discovered to label him the best pirate ever aka the pirate king?
