Mihawk knows he's not at WB's level. Garp fought with Roger. Roger = WB. Garp>Mihawk.

why does everyone assume stuff on thing we don't know and call it fact

all we know is garp chased roger and nearly caught him many times ... but we don't know they fought on equal footing or not ... Garp also said he's gotten weaker ... people do age. I definately think Mihawk > Garp

Garp is old
Mihawk is young
Garp has cornered Roger several times .. do you know what Rogers power was at the time ?
Roger gave himself up thus Garp got all the credit.

Mihawk > Garp
Shichibukai > Vice Admiral

whats the point of making all these assumptions anyway ... its not really gonna get us anywhere, and we can't prove either .. we know way too little about VA's strength, and we don't know the strength of the strongest shichibukai

But if he got weaker he'd have already been promoted. Roger also said that they almost killed each other countless times so I would assume they fought on near equal footing as well. So Garp is near Roger or was meaning je is or was over Mihawk with the VA rank.

The only reason Garp was never promoted was because he was a stray dog like Smoker and didnt follow orders :O
