Ya, gintama was overall more enjoyable, tho i thought excel saga was funnier. Excel saga is completely focussed on comedy and theres practically no storyline to follow. The Pedro gags were by far, the funniest thing ive seen in an anime... Ummm.. I saw a little over 100 episodes of Gash Bell but, Only about 20 episodes of Hajime no Ippo. Yet I still thing Ippo is funnier. Of course I know this argument will go on forever cause everyone has their own opinions. Figured I would add my two cents anyway.

Hajime No Ippo should get some serious consideration for addition into this catagory!!!japanese humor tends to be a 'lil on the dry side,,, but this series has many many gut bust'n laugh out loud sequences... out of all the animes ive watched,,, i believe it to be the funniest,,, hands down
