who would win?

Captain Commander Yamamoto, the oldest and most powerful man in soul society, or Aizen Sōsuke the man who brought soul society to its knees

both have amazing Shikai, but we havent seen either ones bankai

I think Aizen cuz even though Yamamoto is incredibly powerful Aizen has the power to make yamamoto believe fully that Aizen is in another place than he really is giving Aizen a huge opening unless Yamamoto just lashes out wildly and randomly all the time. Either way it comes down to their Bankais and as far as i go I haven't seen them yet. If a fight like this ever comes up in the series Yamamoto will probably win because they can't allow the big bad guy to beat the big good guy lol

actually, i wouldnt be suprised if yamamoto died, he would be replaced by one of the captains, i think it would be good for the series
