A group of children around the ages of 12-14 are on a trip for a summer class they're taking. While looking around the beach, they find a cave that oddly has a bunch of computers inside it. A man named Kokopelli comes in while they are asking each other what the computers are for. Kokopelli asks them if they want to play a video game where they control a giant robot to defend Earth. After agreeing and "signing" a contract, Kokopelli tells them that he will contact them when he's ready. Later that night, the children all wake up and find themselves in the cockpit of a giant robot that Kokopelli is currently piloting, with a strange floating alien called Dung Beetle explaining the situation to the children. Another robot materializes in front of them, and Kokopelli warns the children to pay close attention. After defeating the opponent, Kokopelli mysteriously disappears, leaving the children to try and figure out for themselves what will happen to them next.
