Like the title says, this is a thread where you can recommend your favourite manhwa (and manhwa only), or to pick one to read

Genral Manhwa description

Manwha is the Korean term for manga and denotes series that were published in Korea. Manwha is read from left to right, instead of the usual right to left reading of traditional manga. Although not as popular or well known as manga, manwha is starting to makes its mark on the community.

The Korean style is generally more realistic and less cartoon-like than manga. In manhwa, hair is more natural than the exaggerated spiky style of hair exhibited in many manga. Also, in contrast to the large-eyed non-ethnic characters in much manga, manhwa faces often show stronger evidence of an Asian ethnicity.

That's for all of you who don't know what a manhwa is... and on a personal note, I'd say action based manhwa are usually seinen, characterised by darker atmospheres and frequent bloodbaths ()

Shin Angyo Onshi (adventure, seinen)

Personal note: It's a strange manhwa, even because it's mix of manga and manhwa, it's read from right to left like a common manga. Personally, I find it awesome: gags and fights are implanted on a well planned storyline, which evolves around a single figure able to attract the reader.

summary:Monarchy ended long ago in Korea, but there are still other countries with Kings, Queens, princes and princesses. What if Korea had continued monarchism? Welcome to a world where Korea still has the royal family living their lives! Only for this one high school girl, Che-Kyung, this is a tragedy, since she has to marry the prince who apparently is a total bastard!

Personal note (by Mazza): i LOVE LOVE LOVE this manwha coz the guys HOT the girls FUNNY the storys INTERESTING. plus its not your typical shoujo story line i love it soooo much only problem with it is that it can be hard to understand all the names they use for people around the palace...its confusing..

Personal note (by Mazza): It is good, but it's a bit creepy as well lol, i just mean his infatuation with her is very creepy. It isn't a happy story, dunno if it ends happily because it isn't finished lol! But at the moment it's been a bit sad the whole way. It is still good though!!!! Also it is a tiny winy bit annoying because every single man she meets falls for her which isn't really realistic. IT'S STILL GOOD THOUGH

Personal note: While the story may be a little shallow, it more than makes up for it in the action and art department. The style is visually stunning and will leave you breathless. If you're into huge swords and over the top awesome sword fighting, this manhwa is for you!

King of Hell (martial art, comedy)

summary: In life, Majeh was a gifted swordsman. In death he acts as a reaper for the King of Hell, collecting souls of the dead to bring them to the netherworld. Now Majeh must hunt down and destroy these demons before the rift is permanently opened.

There's a rift between Hell and the mortal world, and lost souls have been escaping to torment the living. To deal with the problem, the King of Hell released Majeh, the greatest swordsman of the underworld, to stop the wayward souls.

Personal note: the plot is good, and there are lots of funny gags to make easier the read. Pretty good one, recommended to guys/girls who like to see crazy fights. Almost no romance at all.

Personal note: A very good manhwa, mostly serious, but including a few funny gags. Recommended to all of you who have a strong stomach, able to withstand and enjoy multiple bloodbaths.

Personal note: I'd personally add the "ecchi" category it's a strange plot, full of twists (even if there are just 14 chapters) and with that dark atmostphere typical of manwha.
