ok i have recently decided to watch clannad but i dont know if I should watch the movie or the series first  since they're a retelling of the story from what I have heard.So ill pretty much watch it in according to what you guys say :P |

watch the series. the series, imo, is a hell of a lot more epic than the movie. though its more time consuming, i think it was worth it for me since it was one of the few animes that got me tearing up like crazy.

The series is pretty much just a stretched out version of the movie, minus the ending. Until the end I was able to predict the upcoming events since I did watch the series first. I decided I would finally watch the second season, after giving up on it. (The first season was really good) If you do like the first season, there really is no reason to pass up Clannad Another World.
