Well i would pick One Piece because its been entertaining me for years and it just gets better unlike other long running series.

But as for what i think is the BEST anime till now I would have to pick Death Note its plot twists are simply mind blowing and its one of a kind.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

if you havent seen it this psychological thrill ride will blow your mind

Its great teacher onizuka for me because its one of the, if not the most inspirational anime i've every seen

Gankutsuou's story is certainly good but i wouldnt go so far as saying it is the best. its animation has issue too.
CG is nice, but well...
one piece... the manga is great but the anime is little too slow.
Tengen toppa is amazing too, such a hard decition.

um...........either Monster or Haruhi Suzumiya for me........... these 2 are just too genious
I guess i am gonna pick the one that makes me laugh.
