I'm getting tried of seeing this discussion all over the place and having to repeat my arguments again and again.

Fact: No one has ever named Zoro as the first mate in the show (I will even argue that Urouge doing it, was a mistranslation)
Fact: First mate is a title, a way to determine who has a certain set of responsibilities, same as the navigator is responsible for keeping course. It is not connected to who joins the crew first.

Obviously I am not arguing in favour of Zoro being the first mate, although I will agree that should there be one, it would be Zoro.

Meh, you can't even take Urogue's word seriously about calling Zoro the first mate. He's from a different crew and doesn't know about them :\

If there was a first mate it would be Zoro. However Oda has not confirmed such information yet, therefore we can’t really say Zoro is the first mate; Zoro is just labeled by fans as the first mate of the Straw hats. By the way sigart we had this discussion so many times why bring it up again?

i already sayed that before with him as navigator they would end up on raftel in a week all they have to do is tell him to go in the oposite direction
