the way ichigo would wait till he was on the ropes before using bankai and hollow, used to frustrate me.
now i just expect it. like in 232. why not use the hollow on rukias zanpaktou?

Ye. He always does that. So after a couple of times ya can get used to it.

He'd rather try without it, since higher-level combat drains his stamina like all hell.
Ofc he has enough that it won't matter, but try to beat that into his head

Well before he could control his inner hollow it was understandable why he wouldn't use it as it was trying to take over. Then when he could he'd only last 11 seconds as a vizard. Not exactly reliable in combat. But halfway through HC Arc on his willingness to accept punishment instead of letting his other form win the battle for him (if it gets that bad) then regain control afterwards is interesting to me lol.

ichigo´s bankai used to be enough speed (and power, but mainly speed) but suddenly it wasn´t... now he need his mask.. i mean captains don´t have masks and look at kenpachi byakuya and kurotsuchi, their own powers were enough to defeat espadas 5 7 and 8, yet ichigo´s bankai wasn´t enough for espda number 6
when he fought byakuya his speed was just amazing, and byakuya defeated the fastest espada, who was fast enough to make sonido clones out of pure speed... yet ichigo´s bankai isn´t fast enough to at least keep up... wtf

Ichigo doesn't need any tactics, he needs to improve his bankai and develop new moves. GT got old hundreds of chapters ago.
