It could have originated with a favortite Nirvana album, and then Kubo built up on with tons of possibilities (Ichigo's hair, the word burichi, cleansing souls, Ichigo's inner Hollow) to make us all squable about it like we are now. Who knows, maybe he was drunk and threw together a little manga, and when he woke up the next morning he liked it and kept it---thus the origin of Bleach Chapter One and the name Bleach.
