Well... I keep watching... xD
Somehow I feel like this show is gaining some action, maybe later it will be like at the beginning of 1st ep., we'll see...

the only thing worth watching is the art work. i can read chinese so i understand those characters that are constantly smashing your face. and they really doesnt have much to do with anything. its just there for show. if you are the type of person who doesnt care about how ridiculous a story is but would just like to see good artwork. well. this obviously is the show for you.
dont get me wrong, i love the art work. i am an art major. i loved the pictures. but for me having to sit there and put up with all the nonsense that are spaming into my ears, it just isnt worth it. maybe if they take out the sound and subtitles and just watch the video.

I just picked up this show and started watching it and I like it only because its extremely different from any other anime I've seen so far. It's odd, psychedelic and interesting. Don't seem to care how every episode is more about what is being said then what is happening and how they love to play with words. But I guess that's what makes it interesting to me. It's kind of a love / hate for me.

I give it a fair ratting for its originality but the re-watch value is very low I'd only ever watch it once at most.

Hmm, I've been contemplating on this one....some how when I keep stumbling onto it on AC I get the urge to watch it as if something is pulling to. I may still give it a go (regardless of some of the less than good opinions of it). Hey, if I can get through watching GITS 2:Innocence and stuff like FLCL, I should be okay with this, lol.

I'm not much of a poster but i really like this anime so i had to say a few words.

First of all this anime isn't confusing at all, watch the first 2 episodes and
you should get the concept.

This isn't an action anime, it has like 2-3 intense scenes but that's it.
It focuses more on dialogues and believe me they are very interesting since they cover a big variety of social issues(child abuse, etc) and relationships (family, friends, etc) and of course there is a love story going on and some comedy.

What i like a lot in bakemonogatari is that despite that it is really interesting to watch and very different from other anime, it feels "real" and i cant really explain it but that's the feeling i get

I can understand why some ppl might not be very interested in this but i don't think its fair to judge something as bad when you haven't tried it or in our case when ppl haven't even seen more than 1 episode.

My suggestion is watch the first 2 episodes and if you find them boring then this anime isn't for you but that doesn't make it bad

I don't know why people are bad-mouthing this show this much. I like it. :/

Well I just started watching last night (I was bored and just finished on my Bleach fix, lol)--I'm ep 5 or 6....my verdict?

I'm lovin' it! The artistic style of it is so different and cool; plus it's humor and dialogue is something reminiscent of FLCL...so I can certainly see why it's not everyone's cup of tea. Of course since I'm also a big fan of FLCL, it's certainly a treat for me.

it is real eye candy but the plots make no freaking sense. it is like the copy cat of Mushishi gone horriblely wrong. Mushishi is 50 times better.

I highly recommend you to skip this anime.
