Hajime no Ippo is my fav, but I wouldnt say I liked Ippo that much in Hajime no Ippo.. takamura was much funnier

(and Nekota lol)
Also Slam Dunk is very good and Sakuragi is so freaking awesome and totally crazy character hehe
3rd best would be major in my opinion... I havent seen eyeshield 21 but I think I will watch it next
Prince of Tennis was pretty good yeh, but it had too many annoying characters (like Ryoma and Kikumaru... Kaidou Kaoru on the other hand was funny

)

hmm... the only ones that come now in my mind are kozue from attack no.1 and tsubasa as in captain tsubasa. i think these are the only sports themed animes i ever saw :D
