Well seeing as though this is such a bangin' show I don't know why (or even if) anyone has never thought to make a thread for it yet, and since it's now in it's 2nd season, I figured it nice to finally have a thread for it.

So...here it is! Discuss all things DTB here, 1st or 2nd season related.

Oh c'mon....I wouldn't say he's an old man drunk, lol, my goodness it's only been 2 yrs or so that have passed since him and Yin went on the run. I'd say maybe he's a bit on the bummy drunkard side, rather than dirty ol' man drunk. Now, the pedo argument....hmm, I'll have to give a big 'no comment' on that for the moment. xD

Btw, what's everyone take on the Yin situation? Do you think she's dead or something?

A little drastic don't ya think?? I mean, it could be possible that it is a temporary thing (him losing his powers). I would like to think that they ain't gonna try to ride this whole show out with that girl stealing the shine from Hei, after all, everybody knows he's the reason the show is so bad-assery, lol.

I'd say don't give up on it yet. Personally, I don't think he be without them forever. I think there just using this time to kinda flesh out the girl character a little bit more so she can not seem so much like a weakling tagging along w/ Hei. On a bright note I'm glad to see Mao still survived (albeit in a different form); I'm a little surprised to that it seemed like July has joined up with the group as well. I'm wondering if he's gonna be pulling the 'doll' medium duties in place of Yin....

a little question what hei do after he use his power? like others smoking/drinking blood of children etc..

its really a bad ass show hahaha well one of my favorite is the cat his funny sometimes

I think at the end of the first season that blond girl (whatever her name was) said Hei doesn't have to do something...

Mh, I'm really curious about Yin, she's me favorite character. I hope she isn't dead.
Anyway, 12 episodes? That's way to short =(

From my understanding from the anime, as well as what I've read off the web is that he doesn't really have a renumeration, the name for the contract's habit, which is what makes him so unique of all other contractors (even among those that know him).

Yeah, I also love Mao, too, (the cat)! I'm glad he's not dead, but it's kinda weird seeing as a flying squirrel now, lol. I miss his cat form .

I'm still hoping Yin isn't dead either, but I don't know quite what to make of her status....I mean, if you listen closely to the previews at the end of show the next week's ep it sounds like it is Yin doing them (just as she did in season 1). I don't know though. And 12 eps? Are you sure?

Wow, that does seem sort of short....unless maybe they could be setting up a new story arc after this one (aka a 3rd season....man I hope). Well, actually now that I remember I got this bit of info from Wiki in terms of the eps are set up:

The series will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray beginning from December 23, 2009 with an estimated eight volumes. Each odd-numbered volume will contain two series episodes, while an OVA episode will be released along with one series episode in each even-numbered volume. Altogether four OVA episodes, they will be side-stories of the main characters Hei and Yin, with the events set in between Kuro no Keiyakusha and Ryūsei no Gemini.

So that being said (not sure if we will get to see the side OVAs air), I guess that may take the total of season 2 eps to about 16. I'd certainly be interested in seeing those OVAs w/ Hei and Yin though b/c I get the feeling they're gonna be to focused on the girl to even delve into what happen during the time Hei and Yin were on the run. Damn....only if importing the blu-ray wasn't so expensive (and if they had Eng. subs on it)...o_O

Well, 12 eps + 4 OVAs, thats not much but I'm glad they're finally doing an sequel so I won't complain =P
Actually I like the girl (Suou?) but it sucks that she's pretty much the center of the sequel, so hopefully the OVAs are about Hei and Yin.
