For people with Standard version of Anime wanting to watch HD version download: Miro HD Player
Miro | Video Player | Free video and audio podcast player and torrent client.

No major problem with codec and is the best HD player I used so far.

AVI, DivX Xvid or MKC trouble then I advise you to download K-Lite:
Free-Codecs.com : Download K-Lite Codec Pack 5.3.0 FULL, K-Lite Codec Pack 5.3.0 STANDARD, K-Lite Codec Pack 5.3.0 BASIC : K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools
*SELECT WHAT YOU WANT LIKE FLV, DIVX ETC*

If you problem with Just MKV then:
Free-Codecs.com : Download Matroska Pack Full 1.1.2, Matroska Pack Lite 1.1.2 and Matroska Pack MPEG4 1.0.3
*DONT CHANGE THE SETTING OR YOU WILL MESS IT UP*

I have tried and tested thease codec and player and hope they can aid you in watching.

DivX users please download the new version of DivX but dont upgrade went prompted or you codec will mess up. DivX block codec.

i watch all of my shows on the zoom player, and it has'nt failed me yet
