Last thing that made me cry was Clannad ~After Story~, but you should still really watch Clannad first, since that's the proper order (I watched it proper order myself). There's only about 40 episodes total (both series combined), but I really liked it, and I wish there were more.

nana but it might take you awhile to get to the sad parts but they are very sad.... 5cm per second was very good
