Cartoon Network Anime

Great, anime is japanese art of drawing cartoons, jeh.
So is there any progress making an European/US part of cartoons on this site?
I'm just throwing some thoughts in!!
There are lots of shows that we can put on this site which we miss out on now.

I agree, but partially, when I hear (or say) anime I think about Japan, but I always have in mind that it doesn't have to be japanese, and that - as wiki says - "In Japan, the term anime does not specify an animation's nation of origin or style; instead, it serves as a blanket term to refer to all forms of animation from around the world." (Even though Japanese under influence of west start to think the same way - commonly known borrowings from english language, and probably culture, for example english lyrics mixed very often with japanese, etc.)

I think orangesplat has all the old Nick Toons if you're interested. I don't know about for Cartoons Cartoons though.

Currently all of the anime on Cartoon network is pretty crappy. I remember the good ol' days of toonami with outlaw star and gundam wing, but now it is just bakugan, which sucks.

its cartoon not anime. and i think the only non based anime that was put here is avatar right? avatar is not anime?

Not saying that anime > cartoons (after all Disney actually had a few good ones), however I tend to agree with the idea that the term "anime" = "Japanese animation".

It's nothing personal, really. Put a good show on and I'll probably watch it regardless of what we call it. However, I have yet to see something in the western market that can directly compete with anime.

That said, I'd prefer if this site just keeps doing what it has been doing, and sticking with this "japanime" niche. (lol, somehow i feel proud like i invented a word, though I'm sure it's been used before)

I don't get why you are all so bothered with the word anime. Sure, US or Earopean style of drawing is not anime, but that was not the point of this topic. We also have AC-Drama, so why not AC-Cartoon. That was the point i was trying to make, and put Avatar in there aswell (Movie comming up soon real life Avatar!!).
