Well light was smart at first but after L's his death he was as stupid as a brick. I would go with L, because N is only half as smart as L and so is M. That's why I guess.

It should be Kira, since in the anime (at the end), Near had said that he, L nor Mello could defeat him ALONE (only with combined powers they could).
So it has already been stated that Kira is smarter than any of those guys. lol.

he said that neither N nor M could defeat him alone he didn't say anything about L

No. He did mention that L couldn't defeat him at some point (since in the end, Kira did kill L). ><"
