Ok, so i started watching Nabari no ou since i'm into action anime, with good plots. I am at episode ten, and so far all i've seen is just some emotional drama about two kids (possibly gay...not my type of anime) who are sad about everything.. And a teacher that is also sad that he has no testicular fortitude to defend himself or anyone else (despite the fact he keeps saying... "I WILL DEFEND YOU ROKUJOU!"), a little girl who is also sad about her family getting killed by her brother, and youchi (the coolest character so far... seems like he knows what he's doing). So my question is, if I was hoping for action... Or rokujou ACTUALLY getting stronger (instead of everyone saying "I WILL MAKE YOU THE KING OF NABARI!" while he sits around watching insects), was I hoping for too much? is this just an anime soap opera (also not my type of anime), or will i get a chance to see these things. Please help, as i hate to finish an entire series hoping for something that never happens. |

Uhm apart from him having the ocassional attack he doesn't really get stronger until the end, and even then that's a push. He's not your typical loser with a demon inside of him who randomly gets stronger out of nowhere and kills everyone. The other characters are strong though, and you will get a lot of action coming up, so try and stick with it. |

It has variations and the drama was reasonable too.Loaded Main Protagonist going berserk is too typical with anime nowadays, at least that factor kept you tuned in with the show. You can try other anime though;the overkill types. |

Thanks folks, I think I got enough info from you guys -and the ten episodes i watched- to figure out I don't want to watch the rest. It's not that I like animes where people get stronger out of nowhere (can't stand those actually), just seems like the 10 episodes (almost halfway through the entire show) are stuck in the same place as it started off. Thanks. |
