Searching for an Anime

Sorry if I put it in the wrong place, but I could find a "Anime request" section on this board.
Anyway I'm searching for an anime. But I don't remember the name.
But I have something almost better: the plot:

Plot

1. The maincharacter(and unluckely I don't know his name anymore) is with his family in space.
2. Their space shuttle is attacked by aliens.
3. The family captured is captured and put it cocoons which brainwashes them.
4. In this process the father of the family get's out the cocoon and saves the maincharater.
5. The main character lands on earth, having amnesia.
6. The alien cocoon gave the family special power; they can transform with the help of a kristal with the shape of a star.
7. The Transformation is actually just an alian armor suit.
8. The maincharacter is trying to save the earth by defeating his family members
9. Some part of the serie his cristal broke, so they make a robot in which he goes to transform.

I know this all sounds a little bit vague, but if anyone could help me, I would rely appreciate it, because I'm looking for such a long time for the name.

Oyeah and the serie was also dubbed in English,but I can't say for a fact if it was released in the US.

I have been looking for this anime for years!!!!
I remember that at some point they manage to get his sister and try a blood transfusion or something to save her but eventually they where unable to do so...plz my friend if you find the name of this anime post it here
