They could introduce him in the manga just in a different way then the anime, there are anime and manga that add characters in different ways, most anime and manga aren't 100% the same

They could swoop him up on the way out easily enough, and it would serve as a good excuse for more filler - taking up 1 or 2 episodes. Rukia did swear to come back...

No you are not alone... first off wouldnt it be very easy for any of them to break that rock and get him out... since they didnt help him then they better not forget his ass thad be messed up.. that is a very valuable rescue mission i think ashido could be quite an asset to soul society
