I really liked Ashido i thought he was bad ass and it seems like he has been forgotten about though he was not pronounced dead ... just stuck in the menos forest... Will anyone ever save his ass from all that endless fighting?

u r right SOB... they DID lieve him there.. i think they'll come back... i hope.. if he's not dead.. i mean.. if Rukia doesent die cuz shes the one that knew him..

am i the only one who thinks its a valuable rescue mission? i mean he was able to survive on his own for so long. i mean he gotta still be alive. its just some one have to move the rock slide so he can get out. i actually would not be supprised if he showed up later on (A lot later on)

Yeah, I heard his character wasn't introduced in the manga version, so I think it would be a bit complicated if Tite decided to bring Ashido back.

he was just a filler character and since the anime is so close to the manga you might see them go back to him
