The point still stands, just because Naruto was angry then doesn't mean he could beat Luffy now. Especially since Naruto, even angry, was then weaker than Kakashi, while Luffy, at this current point, is probably stronger than Gai, Sasuke (no Sharingan bull____ hax), and almost all in the Naruto-verse in terms of physical might.

See that? Improper grammar is fun. Naruto is a shounen protagonist and can beat ANYONE when angry enough. Naruto seeing Sasuke get hurt in the Zabuza arc isn't a very good explanation for him defeating Luffy in the Punk Hazard arc. Anyway, Luffy moved onto the finals of this contest so Naruto already lost.
