I dunno. You're right, he did show a wide range of emotions, which Light didnt, yet I still can't help but feel that he was a cold fish. Probably because he did not let these emotions control him the way Light thought he wasn't (but obviously was). I think... maybe it's simply because I got to see Light's corruption as it happened, whereas Lelouch was bent on revenge from the start and went for it the second he got the tools to do it.

Eh, I dunno. It's hard to explain, Lelouch's feelings simply did not touch me? It might also be that the supporting characters in CC never gave Lelouch the support that Light got from L and his father and Misa-Misa. Not that Light was supported in the story, but in a plot-perspective. I just felt I got involved in Death Note, in CC I never -cared-. I could too easily just lean back and look at the entire thing logically. Like when Euphie died and that whole tragedy happened? I was like "Hmm. That must've hurt. I wonder how Suzaku will react". You see? Emotional distance. I -never- got to care about what happened to the characters.

light and lelouch are the same in my opinion
both had the same dream. to make the world a better place (of course what they thought was best)
both weren't afraid to sacrifice someone for the greater good
both were born winners and wanted to win with every mean necessary
both also had an annoying bastard blocking their dream
both ended up dead to make the world a better place
that's why i like them both
they are cut from the same cloth its idiotic to compare them
and a fun picture

My point exactly. Making such an event and just making it an accident makes people not detest Lelouch as much. If that was on purpose I would never had gone through the entire anime. The issue though is that Lelouch permanent geass thing was not of my taste in how that played out. But like I said, I don't like mind control characters anyway so i do not really care.

Ed honestly I like him because between the two of them he just feels to be the most human. It might be because Lelouch comes from a prominent background but his character seemed kinda scripted and would do anything for his goals. Ed has standards that will not allow him to go beyond what he stands for. Then there is what Sigart said before.

I see, so it all comes down to our own personalities as whenever I saw the things that Light the first thing that comes to mind is, "Hmm, I would've done the same", and yet when Euphemia died I was like, "Shit, Lelouch, you fool, what have you done?"

Hahaha, I LoL'd at the pic. The difference I think is that Light wanted to be God and Lelouch wanted to be Jesus. Light forced the hand of fate, killing all those who would defy him; while Lelouch let all the other regular mortals have their way with their life, but placed some kind of object or ideal that kept them all together to bring peace.

but those were mostly the anticriminal organisations
in the internet the masses had kira as a god and liked what he did
and lelouch killed also those who got in his way
or put them under geass to control them
its no different from what light did
and finally this thread is only about lelouch again
the ed fans are as silent as always
