How strong do you think Gol. D Roger actually was?

Lately I've been shooting through Onepiece episodes and all these new amazingly strong characters are being introduced and it got me thinking as to what separates Roger from all of these people and how he is as strong as he is depicted.

He was on WBs level. WB could obviously go to Rafetel if he wanted, Roger even said he would tell him how because he knew he could do it.

Roger could infuse Haki into his sword and gun. In episode Zero we saw he carried these items. But based on my knowledge of a fight he had with some huge giant he used his fists more than anything.

Notice all Ds use their fists. Ace didnt use weapons prior to his DF he used his fist when he grew older. Luffy uses his fists, Garp uses his fists, Dragon stopped Smokers hand from moving meaning he has super strength and uses his fist also. BB uses his fist and Saul also used his fists.

This is how I see it, He and White Beard tied, and white beard was a lot weaker in the WotB than his prime, yet he still took so much damage, bullets, swords, Magma, Haki.

Personally I'd say Gol was probably a little weaker than WB, but because of being slightly more skill the gap was closed. Granted we won't really knwo until they show more of Gol to us

Gol D. Roger, if he can make shit happen with just a few words there is no telling how powerful he is. I would think country buster at most. Like when in the Naruto verse Pain wanted to collect all the tailed beast to make a weapon with the fire power to blow up an entire Nation. That is the gist of what I expect from the Pirate King

Maybe rogers true strength wasn't his pure physical prowes, but his ability to stir people hearts and get them on his side no matter what. Kind of like Luffy.

Of course I'm sure he was really strong and had good haki too, but there is only so much you can do with that.
